OUR BUS DRIVER TRAINING PROGRAM

With safety being a top priority at Indian Trails, all new drivers are required to complete our comprehensive four- to six-week training program that includes both classroom and over-the-road training with experienced drivers. New hires typically log more than 1,500 miles of driving experience by the end of the training program, as well as gain an understanding of how to take care of yourself, your passengers and your bus while on the road.

Indian Trails is a certified veteran-friendly employer through the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. If you are a driver with at least two years of experience safely operating heavy military vehicles, you can obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) without taking the driving test (skills test). HERE IS WHAT OUR EMPLOYEES SAY

"I wish I’d changed jobs 10 years sooner, even if just for the money and benefits that Indian Trails pays." -- Crystal P.

“I love it all. The variety is great. It can make for an exciting day. Our charter trips have taken me places I never expected to go. I enjoy switching it up, though that may not appeal to everyone. The good news is that, after six months to a year here, you can pretty much choose what suits you best—a regular route or the variety of charter trips.” -- George L.
