Trafton built his career in cities like Lansing, Ann Arbor and Detroit while commuting from his hometown of Owosso. When a position opened close to home, he saw the chance to join a company with a strong history. After learning more about Indian Trails, he knew it was the right fit.
He values working for a company that has served passengers for more than 115 years. “You don’t typically get that kind of longevity unless you’re doing something right,” he says. What stands out most is the culture based on integrity, honesty and taking care of people.
Here’s a fun fact. Trafton was named after a character who appeared in only one episode of the TV show Gunsmoke. His parents liked the name and kept it in mind. Nearly a year later, they used it.
Outside the office, Trafton enjoys time outdoors and watching movies. With most of his five children now grown, he spends time working in the yard and camping in northern Michigan.
