Packing Tips and Tricks

Do you find yourself constantly bringing more than one bag on every big trip? Minimize the space your clothing takes up by using the army roll, a special technique used by armed service members to compress clothes and save room. Watch this tutorial and see how this simple trick can completely change your packing strategy.

Of course, sometimes you can't fit all of your items into one bag. That's where Indian Trails has you covered. Every rider is allowed one free checked bag and one carry-on per ticket. Need to bring more? You may add up to three additional bags underneath the bus. Second bag, $10; third bag, $15; fourth bag, $20.

Employee Spotlight: Keith Lockwood, Motorcoach Operator

Keith Lockwood had spent 20 years as a pipefitter and welder, but even after that long history, he knew he wanted a change of careers. After noticing an ad for a driver role with Indian Trails, he surprised both his friends and family when he chose to take the risk. He’d never been a fan of driving for his job, so getting a job in which he would drive all day seemed like an odd choice.

That was two years ago, and now, Keith drives every week for Indian Trails’ subsidiary, Michigan Flyer.

Keith Lockwood

What he loves most about the job is his passengers, the feeling of independence behind the wheel and knowing he's helping people get to where they need to be.

Keith is a native of Zilwaukee who grew up in Bay City and still lives there. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and exploring nearby forests.
