Whether you're traveling to visit family or traveling to outdoor adventures — like mountain biking, surfing (yes there's surfing in Michigan) and snowboarding — that require some specific equipment, traveling by bus is one of the most economical ways to get there. But can you take your bike, surfboard or snowboard on the bus? Yes you can!
In general, here’s what you need to know:
Carry-on like a pro: You can bring one carry-on (up to 25 lbs), plus a purse or laptop, which can hang out above your seat or under the one in front of you.
Checked and set: Pack one checked item or bag (up to 50 lbs) for free. Got more? No worries — a second bag can join the ride for just $15.
Keep the most important items, like medications, jewelry and treasure maps with you in your carry-on. Valuables belong on board!
Let’s get rolling, one perfectly packed bag at a time!

Meet The Team
Rob’s journey as a shop foreman with Indian Trails began five years ago when riding an Indian Trails bus as a passenger. He struck up a conversation with the bus driver, which led him to join the team and he’s been a vital part of it ever since! Rob loves the great environment and the awesome coworkers who make every day enjoyable. He enjoys training new drivers and sharing his expertise with them, especially his “what not to do” tips to help them succeed. When he’s not at work, you’ll find Rob outdoors, fishing, kayaking or camping with his wife — his favorite way to relax and recharge. Thanks for keeping the wheels turning, Rob!
