Plan Ahead for Your Holiday Travel for a Smooth Trip
The holidays are just around the corner, and while the season brings joy, travel stress can sneak in fast. From booking departure times to arranging accommodations and packing smart, it takes planning to keep things feeling festive. The best way to avoid last-minute chaos is to start now. Here are a few simple steps you can take today, so by the holidays, your only concern is finding a gift for that one relative who has everything.
Smart Holiday Travel Tips β Book your trip early. Tickets for any transportation during the holidays can be difficult to secure if you don't buy well in advance. Locking in a departure time now and purchasing your tickets soon will likely save you a lot of stress and hassle down the line. Plus, if you plan to ride with Indian Trails for the holidays, tickets purchased in advance are usually cheaper than tickets purchased close to your departure date . β Travel in the middle of the week. Weekends are the peak days for departures, no matter the season. If you are looking for lighter travel days, book your departure on a Tuesday or Wednesday, as travel continues to be historically low on these two days. β Get real time trip information. Many travel services now offer ways to check for delays in real time. For example, with Indian Trails' Bus Tracker app, you can plan out your trip down to the minute by seeing when you can expect to arrive at your location. With GPS tracking data every 30 seconds, you can check on the status of your route in real time and adjust your plans accordingly.
β Students, more ways to save. For college students, many travel services offer discounts for those wanting to spend the holidays away from campus. For example, Indian Trails offers a 10% discount on all tickets for college students, though students must purchase the ticket in person and must provide a valid college I.D. to either a selling agent or driver for inspection. Check before you purchase to see if your planned form of travel has a discount available for you.
Of course, you'll want the trip itself to be as easy as the time it took to plan, so ride Indian Trails. Our line of deluxe motorcoaches all feature:
Heated Comfort β Stay comfortable during cool weather.
Free Wi-Fi β Share those stunning fall foliage photos instantly.

It's time you give yourself the gift of an easy holiday trip. Book now and ride with Indian Trails today.

Employee Spotlight: Chad Cushman, President of Indian Trails
Chad Cushman has served as the president of Indian Trails since 2016, but his story with the company goes back 25 years. After leaving his job as a sales manager for Frito-Lay, Chad joined the team as director of sales in 1999 and worked his way up. During his time at the company, Chad has had a hand in guiding Indian Trails through many crucial moments, such
as the launch and expansion of Michigan Flyer and handling COVID.
Chad believes the success of the company cannot be ascribed to him and points to his open-door policy as the key to success. βHere, if you want to get something done, you donβt have to go through multiple layers of administration. Our employees know that if thereβs an issue, our doors are open.β
When off the clock, Chad gives back to the community by volunteering with several business development boards around Shiawassee county. Of course, he still makes time for his family, speed-walking through the neighborhood with his wife and visiting classic car shows on the weekend.
